24 hours

by SammiBABY   Apr 24, 2005

2 together for nearly a year,
united in picture perfect romance,
But ended painfully with a tear,
not hope, not fate, just chance.

She tearfully cut up her skin,
Her first love; no more than an ex,
But for each loss there is a win,
A week later; she’s onto the next.

And a month later, new guy turns his back,
Leaving her with so much strife,
But just one day down the track,
There’s a new one in her life.

But the next romance didn’t last,
six weeks and it was complete.
They turned to friends, back to the past,
The distasteful, nice and sweet.

No, like the others we didn’t stay,
Not through poems and flowers,
And she had a new boyfriend the next day,
She got over me in 24 hours.

(this poem isn't angry...i'm just hurt)
