It was one stupid mistake
That tore us apart

Has torn away at my heart

It was a friendship with love
But it all changed one day
When we both admitted
We had feelings in a different way

We were so close
And i truly loved you and wanted you to see

But eventually we started to fade

You stopped calling
And didn't come to see me
It broke my heart knowing
You were changing into someone i didn't want you to be

And i can't face
How you just moved on
I still don't understand
Why you left after so long

It was that one mistake
Of taking our friendship to the next level up

And you can't take back all that you've said

We would still be friends
