Happily apart

by MEGAN BUTTERLY   May 2, 2005

I'm sitting here
all alone and confused
thinking of what we could've had
before i go on my birthday cruise

your there across the country
and our eyes meet no more
i should be happy
but i need to tackle the inner core

you've lost me
and as smart as i am
i sure as hell lost you

i'm glad were not together no more
i saw the ugly side of you
the one thats really true

After the storm, after the pain, we gain grains of lesson, we tell ourselves "ahh, I did just what's right" and u commend urself for such a choice. Yes...be brave enough, life is really like that, not all pleasing but always presenting vivid reasons why such happened...all for a reason, that only in the end you will realize. Good rhymes, although not metaphoric...free-flow usually adopts to teeners and that is great for now, later you will leap a giant step trying the traditional to enhance the craft more. I always love the thoughts u invoked in your poems...will continue reading ur words. Love u, baby...cheers/cynthia
