Entreaty and Disclaim

by Daniel Mulvany   May 3, 2005

Unaffected by misleading contribution to my thought,
Falling, swayed, appalling pardon, cause of what we now are not.
Sleeping still unsteadied, thoughts inflicting pain to grow.
Everpresent, these emotions, masked, defaced, they will not show.
Living low, this lowly love, distracted in disdain,
Protected yet imprisoned by entreaty and disclaim.
Overwhelm my overbearing noway, nohow state of mind.
Embrace unknowing and unaided this inconspicuous heart of mine.
