The hounds of hell

by Sinister Soire   May 8, 2005

A golden chariot across the sky
The dawning of a day
Bringing light to the world
In this very special way

The chariot is pulled from dawn till dusk
Where it drops below the sea
Once again for day to come
And for the light to be

It dropped below the horizon
Just like every other time
However now the dogs were waiting
From out of hell they climb

The hounds of hell were waiting
To devoir the chariot of light
Remove the threat of day forever
And bring eternal night

The dogs devoured Helios
And made quick meal of the horses
These dogs were not normal dogs
They were elemental forces

From the gates of hell came knocking
And it was Hades that broke through
He brought with him a chariot
And in the air he flew

Pulled behind his howling hounds
He set forth upon his task
Make eternal darkness
Make a night to last

He draped across the people
A blanket of sweet horrors
Spread across the world
He brought about great tremors

He made earth a living hell
And free the long lost souls
Letting death become the world
Hate filling up the holes

Regard everything like a demon
Avoid the damning spell
Be wary of eternal dark
Beware the hounds of hell
