Day by day your graduation nears,
In turn fear of losing you leers,
Fear of losing you: my bestfriend,
Even though we claim we will be together til the end.

As you get older so do I,
And there will be times where I won't know if I will be able to get by,
There will be good times and there will be bad,
My high school years will hold some of the best I have had.

Even though we will gradually start to grow apart,
Since you or I will soon move away,
Away from this town and away from my heart.

I want you to know that no matter how close or far apart we will be,
You will always find a true friend in me.
