What my dearest Breana does not know

by Laura   May 14, 2005

I look in her eyes as she shares the memories that she had
Sometimes flinches as she mentions the word...dad
I admire her for being so strong even though she has received a hard life
The life that has been miserable every since her dad left his wife

I just want to let her know that I really do care
Though sometimes I don’t know what to say every time she shares
Every time she looks sad I ask how she's feeling
She whispers a unconvincing fine, as she stares at the floor or ceiling

I know sometimes she’s alone in the world, feels she doesn’t belong
But for my dearest friend I don’t go, I will stay strong
I promise I will always try my best to help hey through what she’s going through
And never miss an opportunity to say I am here for you

These painful memories I know she cant soon forget
I want to make her pain go away, don’t have the solution just yet
I wish I could tell her I have been there too
But I haven't so far now all I can say is "Bre I love you"
