Love is Missed

by Inner Critic   May 17, 2005

Roaming the streets in dumped despair,
Reminders of you everywhere
Without you here I just subsist
Love is missed.

No more shared coffee in bed,
The croissants squashed under my head
Remembering how deeply you kissed
Love is missed.

Passing the café where love was hatched,
What happened when we were so well matched?
Striking you off my Christmas list
Love is missed.

Daily sessions of straightening my spine,
Pain today - most definitely mine
I understand I’ve been dismissed
Love is missed.

No more of me grieving, no more pining
Every break up has a silver lining
I won’t call you if symptoms persist
- But you are missed.

So very touching and sad, time does heal but so painfully slow.
