What I Would Do

I'd climb up a mountain,
Swim the oceans wide,
Just for the chance to have you
by my side.
I'd chase away the rain clouds,
Paint the sky a brighter blue...
Only to sit and realize...
I mean nothing to you.
I'd walk across the deserts,
count every grain of sand.
Just so I'd be able to hold
onto your hand.
I'd shorten the days,
And lengthen the nights.
Just to hear you tell me that we'll be alright.
I'd measure just how tall stands an alpine fir...
Only to hear you admit to me..
That you're in love with her.
