The Radical Foundation of Love

by Ian Robert   May 26, 2005

Lips potent with the poison of love.

Police and doves,
Guns and thugs.

This world is full of hate,
The young used as bait,
Who’s finding a sophisticated mate?

Oh, here we are trying to bribe fate,
Teach our youth how to lie with a straight face,
Were as far from sober, as we’ll ever be,
So just tell me what you call the truth.

Now I’m watching you and I know you live in sin,
How do you suppose you’re going to justify your self,
Seeing life without hue, how long has it been.

Do you understand how much I care,
Every drop of rain you’ve felt run down you’re neck,
They’ve been my tears, cause it’s as close as I can get.

I’d like to stay but my halo lost its glow,
You weren’t abandoned, they took me below,
My wings turned to ash and now I understand.

How beautiful it is when love dies..
