Just Good Friends

The first time I lay-ed eyes on you
Was the first time that I knew
We belonged together

But when you first saw me
You must of known it wasn't meant to be
Because we are just good friends

Just a little while ago-we had that chat
And yes-I keep telling my heart that
But what can I do?

It must be the way your eyes glare
Just makes my heart totally tear
And you do not even know it

There isn't much time left until school ends
And we haven't got to hold hands
Which is my biggest desire.

All my friends think you feel the same
But you are too shy and too lame
To just admit it!

But then I wonder-Why though?
How come you wont let your feelings show?
Is it a crime to love me?

So many questions left unanswered
Its always me left to wonder
And it is not fair

I will just have to keep telling my heart
That it can not be torn apart
By just a good friend!

    OMG!!!, this poem is the perfect prime example of what I am going through right now. I like my best friend so much and somrtimes I think he feels the same way, but he as well, will not express himself in any way. He already told me that he can't express himself and it is so hard for me because I'll never know how he really feels, but things change, so in time, maybe as we get closer he'll start opening up. Though we are quite close already.
