Rainy Days

The pitter patter of rain on the window,
She conceals her feelings so they don't show.
She had these feelings a long time ago,
But she doesn't want him to know.

After this year he will be gone.
She's wanted to tell him for so long.
But what if his reply would be no?
That's why she doesn't want him to know.

Heartbroken when he's with someone else,
She silently curses herself.
Drowning alone in her deep pool of sorrow,
She doesn't want to go on to see tomorrow.

All of these feelings bottled up inside,
Will never be drunken because of her foolish pride.
To hide her feelings, she'll just go on and laugh,
But later on she will face her own wrath.

Always so close, yet so far away,
She awaits for six days that glorious Sunday.
If she could only have it her way,
For which all the time she hopes and prays.

All of the time she feels his presence,
But she only longs to receive his presents.
Which are not of either silver or gold,
But of undying love of which could never be told.

So until she knows how he feels,
Her feelings will be forever concealed.
Now the pitter patter comes from her heart.
She feels as if it's been split by a dart.
