I Wish

by Rachel leigh   May 29, 2005

Some people wish to be famous,
And some wish to be rich,
Some wish for happiness,
Or that life wasn’t a bit**.

Some people wish for a miracle,
And some a brand new car,
Some a big old house,
But that’s not going to get them far.

Some people wish for a sister,
And some wish for a dad,
Some wish for a mother,
So they can make them glad.

But I wish for a true friend,
One who will always be there,
No matter how far apart,
Just to know they’ll always care.

I wish life wasn’t complicated,
But it always seems to be,
I wish I could understand it,
But I guess I just can’t see.

You see, friends may come,
But they always go,
I wish life wasn’t like this,
Unfair; like a game show.

For I wish this friend that I have found,
Will never, ever fly,
She means the entire world to me,
If she leaves I will have to die.
