Petals on the River

by Amber Dawn   May 29, 2005

I throw these petals in the river,
because my love for you has died.
There is no more.
As I watch the water guide these precious petals.
I remember how precious our love once was.
But we faded away.
and now the love we once had has died.
It's only a memory,
a sweet precious one.
The only memory I'll keep,
is watching the petals of dead love float away on the river.
