This is a poem about one girl that I known for five years.
For 5 years I known you.
For 5 years I been trying to get your attention.
For 5 years I wanted to tell you that I like you.
For 5 years I’ve been in pain cause I hesitated to tell you.
For 5 years I’ve been keeping this secret from you.
For 5 years I’ve been your best friend.
For 5 years I’ve been there for you.
For 5 years I said to myself that I was going to tell you.
For 5 years I’ve been such a good friend to you.
For 5 years I finally said that I like you.
On that 5th year we finally kissed for the first time.
On that 5th year your lips felt like velvet rose pedals.
Your lips felt like if it was hot chocolate drizzled on my lips.
I didn’t even want to stop kissing you.
But for that 5th year I felt something that I will never feel again.
I felt my feelings grow for you every second I touched you.
Every second that my lips touched yours I ran out of breath.
I wanted to grab you so you won’t be able to let go of me.
I don’t know how you call what I feel but I’ve been feeling like this for five years.
For 5 years I said that I want to be with you for the rest of my life.
For 5 years we been closer than ever before.
For 5 years Im still fighting my heart out just to have you.
For 5 years I’ve cried my eyes out just for you.
For 5 years I said that I love you as a friend.
For 5 years I said that I loved you more than a friend.
On that 5th year you said to me that you only love me as a friend.
For that 5th year I excepted that from you.
Since that 5th year, I’ve been waiting for you to be with me.
And Im still waiting for you to be with me right now.
For 5 years I felt like I’ve been in a relationship with you.
Damn if I can only have you for that long.
I only had you for 2 weeks.
I wish I can have you for 5 years and counting.
Babe you’ve been my treasure that I’ve been seeking for many years now.
Now that I’ve found you I can’t have you.
But you know what, Im going to keep on trying for the sake of those 5 years, cause I love you.
