I'm Sorry

by Intimate Ending   May 31, 2005

When I read your poems,
They brought tears to my eyes.
I felt so ashamed of myself,
Because I'd never heard your cries.

I never realized that you hurt so bad,
I never realized that you'd hurt,
I never realized the pain you felt,
I never realized you'd been burnt.

I can't believe I'd missed it all,
I'm sorry i was so absent minded.
I missed that you'd hit the wall,
I can't believe I was so blinded.

I'm sorry I missed it,
I'm so sorry; I was suppose to be your mate.
I love you more than ever,
I've known you since year eight.

Our friendship has grown,
And I love the fact that I know you.
I feel honoured to be in your presence.
I do know that our friendship is true.

All I can say is I love you,
And I want you to call on me.
I want to be woken because you're lonely,
I want you to remember we are now three.

The three are strong,
And need to lean on each other.
The three have an unbreakable bond,
And have to trust in the power we infuse on one another.
