Dreaming Of A Fantasy

by Shelby G.   Jun 1, 2005

Water filling your mouth and nose, you cannot take a breath
Your eyes are closed you with it away, and pray upon your death
And with a final drop of sweat, your sure that you are dead
You open your eyes and take a breath and dart up out of bed
Look around, discover your room and fall back into sleep
Soon to be in nightmare land after counting sheep
probing, picking, poking, sticking, a pain with every touch
A numbness through your hands and feet right when you've had too much
then you see sharp tools and their headed towards your face
and once again your sitting up in a familliar place
you let out an agonizing sigh and slumber once again
Dream about your happy days in high school with your friends
you laugh and talk, they walk away, and off goes all the lights
theres your highschool sweetheart trying to pick a fight
then you hear a gun go off, sitting in your room
you pull the blankets to your chest and sleep through out the gloom
Theres a face you've never seen, he's inviting you to his arms
Pressing up against his chest without the slightest alarm
He caresses your lips within his own it feels so good, so real
His arms around you and the warmth of his breath, this is all you feel
He smiles and you smile back, he slowly fades away
You wake up in your room again, not wanting to start the day
You ponder of the dreams you had, and the nightmares too
The feeling felt so real and you just aren't sure if their true
And with a final long deep sigh your pillow meets your head
You stretch and yawn and looking up, not a single word is said
Let the morning slip away and wake up later on
You spent all day in fantasy, the day seems to have gone
