Wingless fairy

by killix   Jun 3, 2005

There was a young fairy
who had gorgeous over-sized wings
by others she was made fun of daily
and believed these things

one day
she was enjoying a gentle flight in the forest
the other got carried away
and laughed at her because her wings were the biggest

she could no longer take the sound of laughing
she cried and cried in their faces
thinking the world is coming to its ending
she thought of going to a better place

she flew away and cried
her tears fell like rain
pouring onto lands dead and dried
giving the plants the lust of green they did not obtain

she arrived at her home
far away from the other clan
hoping of being alone
to cut off her huge wings she did plan

she thought she stopped the pain
now her screams and tears create a storm
she found that she lost what she thought she'd gain
what she did caused her more harm

she didn't have her beautiful wings
and she didn't feel any relief
she did do a dreadful thing
but in herself she gained belief

now this wingless fairy
still lives without laughter
alone she lives...
happily ever after
