The Tale of Two

by ♥Munchkin♥   Jun 5, 2005

There once was a princess,
Full of happiness and joy,
Who spent her days in hope,
Till along came this boy,

He was her knight in shining armour,
The love she longed to experience,
She knew she'd love him forever more,
No way out, no acquittance,

The love was perfect, it was like a dream,
He made her feel special day after day,
But slowly things faded,
From colorful to grey,

He stopped making calls,
Ceased spending time,
Despite all her efforts,
She had lost all the signs,

The signs that her love was forever,
That the two of them were meant to be,
She had lost the feeling in her stomach,
And the vision of them in holy matrimony,

Now all she saw was a blur,
Her alone in her castle,
He left her, breaking his promise,
He was tired of all the hassle,

Tired of hearing her express,
The feelings she hid inside,
The pain he caused her each day,
Hearing of all the nights she attempt to dream but cried,

Not coping with the truth,
She tried to hide so as not to hurt him,
Everyday she held it in deep,
Till she was full to the brim,

She couldn't stand to argue,
Yet she could bear to lie no more,
She told him all she felt within,
And the pain that followed she did endure,

Honest was what she tried to be,
In any relationship it is suppose to be the key,
So why did her honesty hinder rather than help,
Was it him or was it she?

The answer to this tale we'll never discover,
What happened to their relationship we'll never know,
It up to you to decide the future,
Will it be happiness or woe?
