For Sonja (Part 4)

Like the cold of Winter I am brought to you on this long awaited day,
I feel as though the fire of our past is all but extinguished,
Alight me and lead me out this narrow tunnel,
What you mean to me is a life I'm allowed to live,
So consider these things, before you dispose of the keys eternally.
Locked once again in this cell of monotonous days, freedom can be served to me in one way,
Dignity and Honour I would throw into the wind,
If only for once you would return my call. not force me to holler.

Since that faithful day confusion has covered my mind,
Now that you have proven yourself to me in this way,
My vision has been compromised by yet another darker shroud,
One question it would take to lift this screen of uncertainty
Only to be tossed into another whirlpool of perplexity.

If I had stayed that little bit longer,
If you had tried that little bit harder,
If we could only turn back time.
But I guess we'll never know

If you couldn't run anymore , If you were not here,
If I had fallen down before you , If you had tried to forget, I'm all that you are, I would still... take you home, your only peace and your only retreat. Yours Only.
