Hidden Feelings

by Meghan   Jun 5, 2005

I see you on the weekends
We hang out like best friends
We show each other our scars
We play on the monkey bars
And tell each other stories about getting drunk
And talk about how we both act so punk
This may only sound like a friendship poem
But deep inside there is more
It may look like I only like you as a friend
You always have a hand to lend
We have become very close
But that is even closer for me
Every time I see you my breath stops short
And my heart skips a beat
Maybe that is because you always look so neat
But I don’t think that’s what it is
The roller coaster rides
And picture slides
Mean so much more that it seems
We have this weird connection
And strangely sweet affection
I love you
More than you could ever know
