Jersey Shore

by Matt   Jun 6, 2005

The sun shines and the people are free
With a sky as blue as sapphire
Winds smell sweet as honey
You can walk around, toes free to feel the earth
If it's good enough to be at the beach, it's good enough
Then the sun turns the sky to scarlet, crimson, and amber
As the stars begin to peek their way into the blanket of hope
Then the hearts catch fire beneath their twinkling sparks
And the moon is the only light you need
Only to lead to a new day, to begin again
Stress-free, on island-time, with all the people you care about
That's what summer is like here at the Jersey Shore.
