Different and the Same

by Britney C   Jun 7, 2005

Me and you are different, yet we're the same. I like varieties of music. You like rap and some rock. I'm a punk rocker. You're an Italian that sages his pants and wears shirts that are too big for you. I only have my mother in my life. You have both of your parents in yours. I'm the oldest (with younger brothers). You're the youngest (with an older sister). I'm 14. You're 16. I love playing softball. You love playing football. I'm in regular classes. You're in special ed classes. I have a good and a bad side. You have a bad side, but underneath you have a sweet side. I haven't been kicked out of school. You have. I go to church. You don't. I write notes. You hit people. I write poems and quotes. You get stoned and laid everyday. Getting stoned and laid matters to you. It doesn't matter to me anymore. I love singing and dancing. You love drugs. The things we have in common...We love motor cycles. We like playing the guitar. We like skateboarding. We like being ourselves. We like tattoos and piercings. We both (at one point) loved getting drunk, being stoned, and getting laid. We both have been suspended and kicked out of class. You've gotten girls pregnant. I've been pregnant. The last and final thing is...We love each other. We've hurt each other and pissed each other off. When we were together we made each other the happiest we've ever been in our lives. I know that, deep down, we both wish that we were still together and that we never had to part.
