Fighting This Battle

This constant battle that I fight
Is found within my heart
Memories keep haunting me
And it's tearing me apart.

The constant reminder of you
Passes through my mind each day
The way you held me in your arms
And little things you'd say.

The constant image of you
I can still see today
The one man I truly loved
Now you've thrown it all away.

A beautiful friendship and love
That I treasured so much
You made my life worth living
Still today...its you that I lust.

I'll continue to fight this battle
And all the tears within
I'll continue to fight these feelings
Hoping one day they'll end.

You truly won this battle
When you set my heart free
But my raging battle continues
If you could see inside of me.
