THAT FATEFUL DAY

by Armani Fernandes   Oct 16, 2003

As I lay here on the cold hard floor;
With my hands tied and my legs following suit;
I think back at the joys of my life
I see the first time I rode a bike
It helped me to ride pass her house everyday
I see the first time I saw her holy smile and rode into a tree
I had felt a loud bump I did not know what it could be?
I see the first time we kissed her lips as soft as can be
A heat escaped her mouth and came into me
That heat encompassed me
My body and my soul;
And left warmth of love I let grow and grow and grow
I am stirred back to reality
My killer is back
But as he stabs in to my heart;
And my eyes roll back into my head
I know soon I will be dead
But with my last bloody cough;
I whisper my last words
“It has long gone”
I know now what was the loud bump I felt that day
It was my heart
Gone away to stay
Stay with the girl
I fell in love with that fateful day.
