Temptation

Temptation; Such an evil game
Gorgeous women thinking they own all
Hungry for new meat, want to take your man
Why must I sit back and wait to fall?

His own words, read every last one
Can’t be good enough for him
Tempted by good looks and charm
Can’t see how I could win

She’s out to hurt, sent me the words
She knew would tear my heart
She does\'nt know me, she does\'nt know him
Why does she want us to part?

The power you have if you have a nice face
In a sad little world like this one
I am in love, thought that he was too
She only wants him so she can have fun

Don’t know why it hurts; ‘You could pry me away’
‘Got to get to know each other better first’
Temptation; Such an evil game
Only wants him so she can fulfill her thirst

Fulfill thirst she has to get whatever man she wants
Does her little ‘I just want to be loved’ act
No one comes on that strong if she is for real
He has a girlfriend; where the hell is her tact!

Angry at her for letting me know
Angry at him for deceiving
Angry at temptation for taking my man
Angry at myself for believing

Excuses I’ll get; ‘Didn’t really mean it’
‘I’m only flirting a bit’
She’s only in Hockley; go have some fun
Go on, sod off you stupid git

It was said – never resist temptation: prove all things, hold fast that which is good… George Bernard Shaw said that once upon a time long ago…

Good writing – keep it up bud
