Natural love, contrast.

Delicate little flower,
With a tiny revolting caterpillar,
Wrapped around beauty.

Feeds, slowly on the red,
The ginger, and the blonde streaks,
Like hair in the sun the petals glisten,
With a caterpillar,
Wrapped around beauty.

Watch it, feast and feast away,
With the flower, unaware of the ugliness,
The bitterness of such an insect, it harbours it.
One another, caterpillar and flower share love.
Maybe the flower is waiting,
Waiting for a butterfly to nest on its soft leaves.

Delicate little flower,
Transforms the caterpillar in love,
Out of understanding maybe,
Forms it from a past of ugliness, and bitterness,
To beauty within it’s self.
Only when,
Wrapped around such a beautiful flower.

Delicate little flower,
With a small pathetic butterfly,

They belong together,
Yet, the flower would fly if it knew,
The true caterpillar inside.

(I have such a wonderful opinion of myself....I am the caterpillar, my girlfriend....my soon to be fiance, is my flower ^_^)

A very nice write. I liked the metaphoric way it was written, 'cause for me, as the reader, I can tell that you are not just talking about a flower and a caterpillar but also of true love. Another thing I really liked about this poem was that it is original and it didn't rhyme, like most poems do. Very good job. I must say, I can't find anything wrong with this poem, so all I can say is that it's a very nice write. Take care,
