First Kiss

At first I kissed him softly.
Then harder it became.
There was so much passion there.
Just like a burning flame.

But then I had to leave.
My mom was calling from the car.
But as we drove away,
I could feel him from afar.

My stomach began to turn.
The butterflies were coming up.
So much excitement in the air.
The feeling gave me hiccups.

I could tell that it was love.
Right then and there I knew.
For life couldn't be better.
Everything felt so new.
