My Knight in Shining Armour

by ♥Munchkin♥   Jun 15, 2005

Struggling through the darkness,
Forcing my way through all the trees,
Pulling myself along, slowly,
Many times I've fallen on my knees,

In-front of me I see a light,
Breaking through the dark of night,
Straining my eyes to see,
The figure of shinning armor, my knight,

He wonders straight toward me,
A strong warrior I'm sure,
Yet in love he's a man gentle and kind,
Inside he's good and pure,

Stumbling, I can't see things clear,
Until suddenly I see his hand reaching for mine,
The road ahead is a bumpy one,
But I know in the end we'll find love divine,

In the distance I see problems arising,
Tough ones testing our faith and trust,
But these will determine our future,
Help to figure out whether it's love or lust,

Now we've surpassed some serious issues,
Maybe we'll finally find our place,
I've discovered your lie and I'm still dealing with that,
But now I believe we can fall in sync with grace,

We can mature in our relationship,
Above petty arguments and changing how we are,
You use to know "what a girl wants",
And when you realise again, I know we'll go far,

While I wait for you to realise,
I will learn what it is you want from this,
I'll do the best a girl can do,
And I seal this promise with a kiss,

So my knight in shining armor,
I'm writing this to you,
I'm figuring out my destiny,
And in my heart I believe it's with you.
