It's Time

by ♥Munchkin♥   Jun 17, 2005

I've decided it's time for me to change,
Be someone I'm not ashamed of,
It's time for a new me,
Someone I'm not going to hide from,
It's time for me to grow up,
Yet still keep my inner child,
It's time for me to let love go,
And live my life, fun and wild,
It's time for me to fear no more,
Live my life without regret,
It's time for me to stress less,
No more panic and fret,
It's time for me to let go,
Of the love of my life,
It's time for me to realise,
It may not be my destiny to be his wife,
It's time for me to just enjoy my time,
Spend it with my family and friends,
It's time for me to stop clinging on,
And not accepting it's the end,
It's time for me to mature,
To get over that we're no longer new,
It's time for me to get a grip,
To be sure that there's always be a me and you,
It's time for me to apologize,
For being a bad girlfriend,
It's time for me to release you,
And let you enjoy your time with friends,
It's time.

~"I've clung on to you so tight I didn't realise that I can still let you go and you can still be mine. This isn't a break up poem... I never want that to happen but I've realised I've got be able to cope if it does. If I keep holding on to you too tight and relying on you to be there for me if you ever left me I wouldn't be able to manage... so from now on I promise I'll try to stop getting upset over you choosing your friends over me and I'll try to pay attention to the little things you do for me. I can't promise I'll never complain but I'll try my best to only let myself get upset about the really important stuff. I love you Jake! xxx"~
