He told her

by Ashley Groff   Jun 18, 2005

He told her to let go
Or at least pretend
And she stared blankly at him
How could he say that to her face?
How could he put a hole in her heart?
Her life fell apart.
The girl sits at the edge of her bed
And then cries to sleep
He told her to let go...
He pulled her apart
And left her alone
She lays now and listens to his
Voice in her head
And stares at the ceiling and
Thinks to her self
He left me here to cry

Your poem is very heartfelled and deep. I like the picture you put into my head because it's very vivid. Just work on making it flow alittle easier with a rhythm. Wonderful job. ^_^
