I was once like you

Losing hope,
Slipping fast,
Trying to hold on,
To things that can't last.

I'm not sure where you're going,
No clue where you've been,
But trust me sweets, I know where you are,
And it's not good to keep it all in.

Avoiding love,
Broken inside,
Pushing away,
Everyone by your side.

I've been here for a while,
And this is where I'm gonna stay,
If you don't wanna tell me,
Then there is nothing i can say.

I can't help if you won't let me,
And so far you won't,
But please don't hurt me for what i don't know,
I'm begging you sweetheart, don't.

I wish that i could mend your broken heart,
You think i can't, but at least let me try,
I'll do anything, i swear, anything,
that you need me to, please don't cry.

I'll move you away,
To anywhere you wanna be,
I'll take you to see the people,
That i know you wanna see.

I just wanna help,
That's exactly what this poem's for,
To prove to you, I may be dumb,
But I'm still here, with open arms.

I promise you can count on me,
I wish that you could just believe,
You'll be ok, You'll make it through,
I know, because, I was once like you...
