Tricks and lies

I tricked myself to believe that we were meant to be,
i lied to myself thinking we'd be together forever,
i gave you my heart, thinking that it wouldn't break apart,
i hurt myself by giving it all to you, some how believing we'd never be through,
i told myself the truth, but then again it was no use,
i cryed myself to sleep, thinking you'd come back to comfort me,
i kept your picture close to my heart praying to god that we weren't apart,
i made mistakes i know, but somehow i just can't let you go.
