Painted World

by kelsielaroche   Jun 21, 2005

All I ever wanted to say was that I loved you,
All I ever wanted to say to you was that I gave a damn,
But you never let me did you?
You never gave me a chance.

"I believe.." he said,
"Your world needs some colour",
I tried to paint my world different colours,
But they mixed together and turned out black and smudged,
Just like us.

Inside of me,
There is a whole,
I plan to fill up over the years,
As I grow old.
As for now,
I lay here soft and soundless,
Spread across the floor,
Thinking of only one thing,
You.

I need some colour in my world,
Lets erase the black and white,
Together,
Like old times.
We can paint it our favourite colours,
Whatever pleases you,
I live for you remember?
This all is up to you.

You don't care,
But I need this,
Paint my world any colour you want,
But promise me you won't smudge or wash it away,
With my tears,
Like you did before,
Wasn't that long ago.
