Running Together Alone

by elise   Jun 24, 2005

Wings take her up into the night of fallen stars,
wind sweeps her off her feet and into a world of fire,
the flames fly up and burn her soul,
but her wings just take her higher.

Of love and greed and pain,
her heart will scream out tonight,
running together alone with her memories,
and bring her on this dangerous flight.

To be alone but together with her friends, as she flies into the galaxy,
and settles on Saturn of Jupiter to be happy as she could,
and sweeps away her vicious envy.

She wishes she could walk and be normal like the rest,
but her fly wings cease to resist,
as they carry her unwillingly up,
and engulf her in pits of eminince.
