Gentle Hands

by blackrose1011   Jun 28, 2005

All eternity untangles beneath your fingertips
As they gently kiss the strings
Creating your own harmony.

As you play, all time stops,
As if time is in your command.
Eternity is at your demand.

I watch you hands in their own simple dance
Calluses as shoes your fingers move
Along the strings, with flowing grace.

When your hands end their graceful dance,
They linger, with lonely, happily lingerance
Then allow the note to drift away…

How I love those playful, graceful hands
Which slide along strings, creating mystic melodies
Teasing every note to your own perfection.

The way your hands match your voice
Your nervous twitches, and un-ryhmed stanzas
How I love you, and your gentle hands.
