True Love

by Artemis   Jun 28, 2005

You say you found her
Your true love at last
But how can you be sure
You assumed it so fast.

I was your short term girlfriend
Until the day you met her
You left me in a heartbeat
And to that you must concur.

You may no longer like me
But I don’t mind one bit
For you see she doesn’t like you
You and her just don’t fit

She’s heard all the stories
From your life that we know
She knows you’re too old for her
Plus she would never go that low.

A man still struck in childhood
Is a man in great distress
You’ll never find the one you love
Until you fix that mess.
