In the Rain

In the rain you smile.
And in the rain we cry.
In the rain I understand
That you'll stay by my side.

For when I'm in the rain, I pray
I ask so many things.
I ask, "What's going on right now?"
I ask, "What's happening to me?"

When we're in the rain we kiss
We dream about our lives to be.
And even with the stars above
You'll never understand, how much you really mean to me.

I stand out on the porch at night.
I stare into the purple sky.
I reflect on memories
And know that we're alright.

We lay together on the ground
And in our ears we whisper.
What would it be like for us
If you were the "Mrs." and I was the "Mr."

In the rain are answers
Waiting to be told.
In the rain is you and me
And forever is you that I'll hold.
