Angel Of My Nightmares

by chloe.   Jun 30, 2005

I fall asleep tonight.
Laying down on a cushioned cradle,
Tossing and turning,
There’s a empty position,
Where your body once lied.
As I shut my eyes,
I envision a face.
This face is like an angel.
An angel of my nightmares
This face has the capability,
The capability to have me at my knees weeping,
Or to lift me to the heavens above,
Fill me with fears,
Or wipe away my tears.
This face I know,
I’ve seen it before.
But where? I cannot evoke.
To think maybe,
I was once in love with this face.
Or am I still?
Each day I wish to sleep,
Sleep evermore.
For sleeping bring this face closer to me.
I hope to find the spirit of this face.
The soul of this angel.
This angel of my nightmares.
