Love is like a rainbow
an image in the sky
a handfull of "tomorrow's"
a bag filled with "goodbye's"

A mouthfull with "I Love You's"
without knowing what it means
A pile of greedy people
that only want you for the greens

It is just like the river
so innocent and still
It is an epidemic
that makes you lifeless, weak, & ill

It is just like a firefly
that you catch in just one day
and you're so proud that you have caught it
until it flies away

It is with dedication
that the baker chops his bread
He's so happy with his masterpiece
but it gets sold away instead

Love will leave you bruises
and aches inside your heart
it will leave you filled with memories
until your heart just falls apart
