Sometimes I sit and wonder why
All my tears come at night
I wonder why I still long for you
After all the pain you put me through

I wonder why I can’t move on
And be with someone new
How I would take you back in a second
If you were to ever come through

I wonder why my love is so strong
And how my pain is never gone
I wonder why you’re always in my dreams
Forever in my mind is how it seems

I wonder if the pain in my eyes
Hurts you like it did before
I wonder if you apologize
If I would be able to forgive you once more

I wonder if my heart can take much more
Of the hurt, and this cruel world
I wonder if you see me cry
Will you leave me, and continue your lies

I wonder when you look at the stars
Do you think of me like I think of you
Or do you close your eyes
Move on and leave all the memories behind
When I sit and wonder about these things

I know the truth deep inside
That you are gone and out of my life
But I still pretend everyday
