Heart on Display

I've given up on trying
finally closed my heart
all the rips and broken pieces
make it a work of art

but I'll keep it in a glass box
put a sign "handle with care"
that throughout my entire life
I wish had been put there

because sometime in my life
someone must have dropped it
so I'm putting it away for good
and I'm giving you the credit

I'm sure a lot will call me stupid
and sometimes a "drama queen"
but they just don't understand
how much to me you mean...
