Loser

by Hpfan36   Jul 10, 2005

I had my eye on you last night
Quite like that statue atop your shelf
The one that seems to see right through you
Gaze into your inner soul
Steal tid bits of your deepest thoughts
I was just like her

I watched as you paced in your bleak, empty room
Back and forth your footsteps took a toll
They felt limp and heavy, as if they no longer consisted of bones
But lead
Silently, I crept into your mind
Reminiscing, deep in thought, separated from the world
Your mind was hard at work
The small peanut in there looked as if it were about to burst
Mmm...
I hoped peanut butter would come out your ears

Suddenly, those gears started to slow down in there
Quickly, I exited your mind
You stood there
Stiff and quiet
Then let out a sigh and plopped onto your bed
From your pocket, you dragged out a crumpled note
I recognized that note
It was the note my friend passed you in class

My dear friend had hoped you'd meet her
She had three important words to tell you
But you ditched
Abandoned her
You jerk
Now you'll never hear those words
Ever

You loser
You had a chance
You lost it
Say good-bye now
For you've been dumped

I watch as you now tear up the note and toss it away
Put your face into your cupped hands
Let out a deep breath
And shut your eyes

It's all over
