The First I Love You

He holds her close
As the tears start to fall
So happy to be with him
But the say nothing at all

She cries so silently
As he caresses her face
She finds all her comfort
In his warm embrace

His words can heal all pain
And his kisses taste so good
She doesn't want to tell him
But she knows for sure she should

She doesn't want to scare him
Doesn't want to chase him away
But the urge is getting stronger
Getting stronger everyday

She can not keep it on
Any longer for sure would kill
She lets it out in soft whisper
It gives them both a chill

It seems like hours
As the seconds ticked by
He looked at her and smiled
And gave her his reply

He wiped the tear from he cheek
She wasn't sure what to do
But it no longer mattered
When he said "Sweetie, I love you too"
