Before you read this, my best friend named Justin Hutton, wrote this poem about and to his first love.. we hope that you enjoy it..

I know that you hurt me
And it's painful to think
I could ever thank you
For being the only link

You turned my life around
And opened up the door
Though I had to crawl through it
From where you left me on the floor

You taught me how to love
And you taught me how to hate
Showed me how to hold back tears
Even though it was too late

Now not a single tear
Will glide down this cheek
I cried my soul out for you
But before I was too weak

Now that the sun has risen
I can clearly see
After all that time I thought
You were the one for me

I'm too young for love
I've got a life to live
I've got places to see
And many gifts to give

I want to see the world
Before I settle down
So thank you for hurting me
And trying to pull me down

I proved that I was strong
And could rise above
You opened the world to me
When you denied my love

Now I'm moving on
With a whole new view
I'm consintrating on what real
And not my "love" for you
