The black city

by katie!   Jul 13, 2005

Tightropes laced across the valley of massacre
Coaxing minotaurs guarding the entrance to misery
Neurotic beings balancing into the agony of day
Blinding darkness implodes upon a midnight sea

Water cascades through a town draped in terror
Dread seeps through the cracks in societies unknown
Paranoia weaves in and out of rumours and suspicion
Flesh ripped from bodies, leaving gleaming bone

Horror alleviates devilish beings, immersed in sorcery
Purple flowers mourn the funerals of memory
Enervating those which walk among the associates of happiness
Charcoal skin torn by days of fatigue

Deep pits swathed in the robes of purest misery
Holding down the fury, rising like an army of red
Flailing murderous glances, shot like arrows through darkness
Pires of mystery among the melodramatic dead

Gone astray from the flickering silver path
Feeble rebellion against the powers below
Dominant demons from the gates aspiring
Silver coated bullets unable to penetrate this inferno

Volcanic fires detonate upon the unfortunate workers
Blood trickles over the imposing doors of pain
Sleep cannot find a simple lead through hell
Throughout the black city where darkness doth reign
