Water's Fire

by Carlee Ann   Jul 15, 2005

Have you ever stared at the waves?
An infinite, constant solution
Each the same and yet different
It couldn't come from evolution

Look how the waves sparkle
Like God poured glitter on them
Each holding a secret
And their motion never ends

Sparkling water of mystery
Stretching forever on
Hypnotizing each eye upon it
So sure and never wrong

Why can't humankind be
So constant and never wavering?
As we rush through ours
The water has life it's savoring

The endless stories of blue
Foam at the edge of rock
Leaving their temporary mark on the world
Telling truths we have long forgot

It never pauses, never stops
Even though it must surely tire
And though it will stop any flame
It holds its own fire

It's almost an illusion
The water's complex weave
But each wave overlaps the next
And will surely never leave.

*I don't really write nature stuff.. so this was new... I don't know if I like it!
