A days cycle

by Darrin Harvey   Nov 4, 2003

I go to bed at night
Dreaming of you
Hoping that maybe someday
You might say, "I do"

I wake up to go to school
Dressing to impress
Realizing that since life with out
Is just such a mess

I sit in homeroom
Looking into your eyes
Wishing that I will never
Have to say my good byes

I go through my day
Always thinking about you two
Knowing that someone else is the lucky one
I cry my soul out "o boo hoo"

I see you after school is over
And your life is looking gloom
But I still can?t understand
Why it?s so weird when we are in the same room

I rush home
Craving to talk to you online
But you are to busy with someone else
That?s when I realize you are not mine

I keep my hopes up
Spending my times writing poems
Looking forward
To when you get home

Although you don't feel the same way
My feelings will never change
Because I love you so dearly
My heart is like a shooting range

You take your best shot
And cut it in half
But still when I?m around you
You always make me laugh

The days are getting longer
Without you by my side
But you have moved on much quicker
And I feel like I have died

I go through this cycle
24 hours a day
Keen to let you know
That you shall lead the way

You own my heart
All the time
That?s why I love you
and write these stupid rhymes
