Forget My Name

by Ashley   Jul 22, 2005

Please forget my name,
Because it will never be the same.
To know that you don't need me,
Is like the saddest melody.
Things have changed and not for the best,
I thought that you were different from all the rest.
But I have seen through that smile,
And I know that it will be awhile.
You don't want anything to do with me,
So you left me here helplessly.
I am useless to you, I'm just a joke,
Because of you, I've lost all hope.
So please, just forget my name,
I don't want to remember anything.
I don't want you to look back and say,
She thought that she was in love, and now she has to pay.
Look at that poor girl, She's all alone,
I tried to help her, but now she's on her own.
I don't need her, she was just a game,
I had fun, but it's just not the same.
She was serious, withought a doubt,
But that's not what I'm all about.
I don't want her to be by my side,
I thought that she was here just for the ride.
It was fun while it lasted, it really was great,
But I have to be on my way, This is all second rate.
So with one last look, I ask you please,
Don't say good-bye, It'll just be a tease,
Don't look back, it's all too sad,
I don't want to remember all the fun I had.
So with that in mind, I want you to stay the same,

But please, just forget my name.
