It was just a dream

Hey guys this one is a twist to my other poem called Love in a Disguise...Hope you like it.

I met a boy who stole my heart and made me smile when I was torn apart. He held my hand and he would always understand. He was there when I needed him the most. Told me secrets and held me close. He was my everything. Then I awoke....and it was just a dream.

He protected me when I was in harm. Held me close to keep me warm. Sang to me when he couldn't be near. Took on all of my fears. Just the thought of him gave me butterflies. He said he'd never say goodbye. Love is never what it seems...it was just a dream.

He made my heart race and stole my soul. When I felt empty he made me whole. Met me halfway when I walked in the dark. Unable to resist a passionate spark. Stayed up all night just to hear his voice. Always said that love was a choice. He meant everything to me but it was just a dream.

Through the good times and the bad he never intentionally made me sad. He picked out our special star. How quickly he won my heart. His smile made me weak. And at times I couldn't even speak. I love the way he loved to be a kid. He made me smile with everything he did. I love the person he made me but it was just a dream

We were gonna travel the world. Id always be his friend if not his girl. Wed be there for each other no matter what came our way. We would always listen to what the other had to say. On a cruise to Jamaica is what we had planned. Wed sit and have drinks in the sand. Wed walk along the sunset beach just me and you...But I guess some dreams aren't meant to come true.
